19th July 2016 - Head's Letter to Parents (Y10)
As we approach the end of another school year I hope your son has had a successful and enjoyable time completing his work experience placement.
There has been a huge number of activities that our students have been involved in recently. There are far too many to list here. If you haven’t done so recently you might want to take a look at our twitter feed which can be accessed from the school’s website.
We have a number of staff leavers at the end of this term. Most notably Mr Vine, after 41 years of service, is retiring. We thank him for his commitment to the school and its students over the years. Mr Lomas, Deputy Head, is leaving to take up a promotion at another school. We thank him for his huge contribution to KNBS, and to student welfare in particular, over the past 16 years. We wish other staff leaving us at the end of term the best of luck in their future careers or ventures.
We have been fortunate in recruiting some talented new staff and look forward to welcoming them to KNBS in September.
Looking forward to next term, the start date for students in Years 8-11 is Wednesday 7th September. All students should arrive to school for normal time. Registration and first period will be used for administrative jobs, and then normal lessons will begin. Students need to return to school with correct uniform. In particular I want to emphasise expectations related to footwear. Students should wear plain black shoes.
Thank you for your continued support.
